WHY
small + wedding
Small weddings and elopements are becoming more and more popular and in my experience it is the more intimate weddings that are the most moving and emotional. Perhaps the weddings I have absolutely loved the most.
And that is why this site was born. Here you will only find photo shoots that have been realised in a very short time.
After 20 years of photography and hundreds of weddings photographed, one of the questions I have been asked most often is: but if you photograph us for 2, 3 or 5 hours, will the shoot be bad? Won’t something be missing?
Let’s start with the assumption that your wedding photo shoot should fit in with your day and tell it in the most sincere and spontaneous way possible. And that more and more often I meet couples getting married alone or with a small number of guests. And that there are people who are uncomfortable being under the photographer’s lens all day. Or perhaps they choose to get married in a town hall or with a symbolic ceremony and immediately afterwards want to go and celebrate with their guests. I always tell all these people that not only is a short shoot not lacking in anything, but it will look just as good as a classic wedding photo shoot.

a photojournalist passionate about art
I was born and have always lived in my beloved city, Venice.
20 years ago I chose to undertake the profession of photojournalist and portrait photographer: over the years I have published in major newspapers both in Italy and abroad. Then came weddings, which I tried to tell in the way that was most congenial to me and that I knew best: that of reportage mixed with set portraiture. Weddings also saw important publications in newspapers and websites in the sector. My life is divided between reporting on sometimes complicated and difficult events and events full of joy. My balance is based on this mixture of emotions.
I have won many competitions both in journalism (the POYi, the Lens Culture Critics’ Choice, the Kuala Lampur portrait prize, the Center Santa Fe Editor’s choice, the Budapest FotoAwards) and in weddings (such as the Junebug Wedding annual contest, or the industry association awards WPJA, AGWPJA; ISPWP, WPS).
I am a member of the italian journalists’ association and have been admitted into the WOMEN Photograph Association. An exclusive international association that works to protect the female gaze and all categories that are often discriminated against.
I am passionate about modern art and I make collages in my spare time.
